If you’ve never tried Don Diego, I very strongly suggest it. You’d do very well to pick up a box. If you’ve ever enjoyed a mild cigar before, you’ll find Don Diego to be up there with the best you’ve ever tried. Even if you’ve always been about the intense, full-bodied cigars, then Don Diego is still worth a try. Sure, it’s never going to occupy the same space in your humidor as your favourite Optimo Cigars, but maybe you’ll find a special place in your heart for it.

This coffee flavor starts off as just a slight hint in the background, but by the final third of the cigar it has reached a passionate intensity, growing with each puff.  This unique quality makes the Ashton Classic 8-9-8 a cigar that should be experienced at least once by every cigar smoker, and those who are a fan of smokes with a clearly defined and prominent coffee flavor would do well to keep a well stocked humidor full of these little gems.

The rest of the Ashton Cigars line is equally special. Truly fantastically made cigars from the Dominican Republic that challenges the palate time and time again. You can see the quality in these cigars, and you can certainly taste it.

This cigar starts off as medium, with a deliciously complex finish. There is a distinctive leather flavor (not unlike some Excalibur Cigars) along with cedar tones, which is followed by a delightful aftertaste that confuses the palate in the best possible way. It’s a truly solid smoke that is unlikely to disappoint.
